General Rules
- GM RESPECT:As a Player, You acknowledge that GM's are only there to Help you with any of your problems while Playing on AFRO. GM's should be treated with respect at all times no matter what the case. A dispute is recognizable, however should still be held in a respectful manner. Violators will be punished swiftly and accordingly. GMs have the final say in any dispute and will administer the appropriate punishment as needed.
- OFFICIAL SERVER LANGUAGE: The official server language is English. If you speak in public, speak English. Otherwise, whisper or open a chat box when speaking to others.
- GM IMPERSONATION: The GM staff will never request your account information. Simply knowing your character name is enough for our staff to gather the information necessary to resolve any problem your account may have. Do not create character names that are similar to GM accounts. These accounts will be banned without question.
- SWEARING/CURSING: Under no circumstances will swearing, cursing, or name-calling be tolerated.
- HARASSMENT: We consider the continuous taunting or pestering of another player or group of players harassment. It's quite obvious to know when you are harassing someone or if you're a victim of it. If you continuously insult a fellow player who has requested that you stop, then you are harassing them.
- KILL STEALING: Attacking or killing monsters with the intention of stealing drops/loot and or experience from another player. There is a fine line to Ksing and those caught doing it will be dealt with. Kill Stealing can be considered a deliberate attempt to interrupt another player, party, or guild from leveling for malicious or selfish reasons. NOTE: KSing only applies to normal monsters. MVP's are free for all and you may kill them at will regardless of whether or not another player is already killing it.
- ACCOUNT SECURITY: You are responsible for the security of your own account. You are responsible for the security of your account password as well. Choosing a simple password that can be easily guessed is a sure way of getting your account stolen. The loaning of account or items is not illegal, however, the GM staff cannot honor any lost item/character/account requests from an account that was shared. With regards to item sharing/loaning it is the GM team's official stance that what ever account the item is on, is the owner of the item. If that item was "loaned" from another player it technically belongs to the current account holding the item.
- BOTTING: Botting and other illegal item farming programs provides an unfair advantage to those who use it. It's dishonest and unfair. Anyone caught botting will be IP banned permanently. Although Macros are untraceable, Those caught using them are considered cheating the game system and will be punished
- BUG EXPLOITATION: Using an in game bug to gain items/zeny for you or your friends/guildmates is dishonest and illegal. Please report these type of bugs and try and better our community instead of taking advantage of it. Those found knowingly exploiting a bug of this nature will be banned. Those reporting a bug of this nature will receive a reward.
- SKILL SPAMMING: Do not spam or abuse skills in town. Those who have experienced this know that this can mean be very annoying. I see no good reason to spam skills in town other than to draw attention to oneself. Please don't do it.
- ADVERTISEMENTS: Players are forbidden from attempting to publicly recruit other players to join or play a different server. If you are leaving the server to play on another server and want to bring your friends along with you, then talk to them personally, there is nothing wrong with that.
- DONATION ITEMS: Donations Items are NOT bought items, but are merely a reward for helping to keep the server alive. For your convenience, Donation Items Have been adjusted so that a player cannot drop or sell them accidentally. You may not trade a Donation Item to a GM for another, However, Donation Items are still trade-able to other players. For simplicity's sake, whoever is currently in possession of the item, is the owner of the item. The GM team is not responsible for any problems that may occur with your donation items.
- TRADING: Trading items only consists of items in Game. It is illegal to Trade Out of Game Items for In Game Items. Both Parties that are involved in the trade are subject to account deactivation.
PvP and GvG Rules
- PvP (Player vs. Player): PvP maps are maps where attacking other players are enabled. These maps are a play at your own risk map. You may be attacked and killed by other players without provocation or for any reason or for no reason at all. It is not against the rules for another player to attack or kill you on a PvP map. If you do not wish to be attacked, do not enter a PvP room.
- GvG (Guild vs. Guild): GvG maps are maps where competing guilds can attack each other. These maps are slightly more than a simple PvP map as Guildmates and your Guild Alliances are considered allies on GvG maps. Unlike WoE maps, there is no damage reduction on skills or limitation on skills as in a WoE map. These maps are considered an all out free for all and the same PvP rules apply. Additionally, Kill Steeling is not illegal on these maps.
War of Emperium Rules
- Guilds and WoE: Guilds may not change emblems during the War of Emperium. If caught, and the guild participates in WoE, the guild will be punished depending on the severity of the action. Guilds may not use misleading icons in order to create an advantage during WoE.
