First off, start by expanding your Hotkey bar, by clicking and dragging the corner of the bar. (Designated in
Yellow)
Second, Either by clicking "Skill" or using Alt+S open your skill tree. From there, drag your skill icons into slots on your Hotkey bar.
Once you have all your Skills in slots, you can now go into BM/Shortcut Settings. You can either press "Escape Key" until you get to menu, or follow the route laid-out in
Blue. ( 1, Click "
Option" 2, Click "
BM/Shortcut Settings" 3, Make sure you are in "
Skill Bar" )
From here, its pretty simple. Find the skill on your Hotkey bar, that you want to shortcut. IE "Firebolt", steps circled in
Red. For me, it is 2nd slot on my 4th row. Find 4-2 in the garbled junk, then click and set the key you wish to set "Firebolt" to. In my case "W".
Do this for all skills you wish to shortcut. Keep in mind

Orange is Row number,
Brown is Slot number).
Once done with all this, you can now enter BM mode ingame by... 1) Toggle "Enter/Return" until you have no Insert Chat here bar 2) Press "Escape" to get rid of chat bar or 3) Click the lil keyboard icon by your "Regular/Battle Logs" to "X" it.
When in BM, simply press the key you designated to cast the skill.
I know, I know, I fail at guides, but this is the best I can give =P
PS.
"My hotkey bar is gone? /OMG" - Just press F12 until you see it again
